For the Wheel’s Still in Spin || Jehan writes on his arms, Éponine makes interns cry, and Grantaire hates Boston. Oh, and they’re trying to win a presidential campaign.

Les Amis Collective (a.k.a Hacker AU) || Ongoing Modern AU. Enjolras is the leader of les amis, a notorious team of anarchist computer hackers. Grantaire is an artist living in New York City. The prank online dating profile in Enjolras’ name is probably Courfeyrac’s fault.

Find Out What I’m Feeling || When Marius’s girlfriend Cosette writes an article about Enjolras’s campaign for a seat in the state House of Representatives (not to mention his attempts to start a new political party) and mistakenly mentions Grantaire as his boyfriend, Enjolras ends up pretending to date him in the media storm that follows. He’s not sure why Grantaire says yes, but he’s starting to want to find out.

twenty-three || When their eyes meet on Grantaire’s twenty-third birthday, his entire life goes to shit. A story about finding your soulmate, and figuring out how to love them.

seven || They’re twenty-three, and they have their whole lives ahead of them. But they’re twenty-three, and there’s no fireworks when they see each other, no sudden, innate knowledge that they’re completely right for each other — no bond, which means they have their whole lives ahead of them, with a love that will always be weighed down by fear {this is a courfeyrac/combeferre fix inspired by twenty-three and normally i ship courf/jehan but this one killed me so…}

watermark || Relationships are hard when you are Enjolras and Grantaire. {and my absolute favorite: “You tolerate me,” Grantaire points out, hands balled in their sleeves at his sides. He doesn’t wipe at his face, just sniffles and continues on. “I am so pathetically, laughably in love with you, and you tolerate me.”}

grantaire loves taking photos of enjolras. the littlest things make his hands itch to grab his camera and capture the moment. like when enjolras is curled up in his favorite armchair in their flat, positioned in exactly the right angle where the sun gives the most light without blinding him entirely. grantaire has dozens of this kind of photo; enjolras completely enraptured by his political science textbooks or rereading, for the hundredth time, the constitution of the fifth republic (so much so that enjolras can quote any line or paragraph by heart in a split second). or when enjolras is having his first cup of coffee in the morning. when he’s still pliant from sleep and not quite fully awake yet. enjolras’ hair would be in such a sexy disarray that grantaire wouldn’t be able help but take a quick (sometimes blurry) photo before grabbing him and kissing him and nipping at enjolras in a possessive daze. enjolras will push him off, grousing about being late and morning breath or whatnot. but it’s half-hearted at the very least, enjolras’ lips curving into a half-smile almost out of their own accord and giving into grantaire every time. oftentimes, it does leave them running late and grantaire has those moments captured too. enjolras frantically putting his shirt on or fixing his tie. enjolras huffing about whilst looking for his oxfords (under the couch where they were discarded in the rush of last night’s activities). enjolras would be genuinely annoyed then. the constant snapping of grantaire’s camera aggravating his worsening distress. he would shout but rarely does he leave before kissing grantaire softly on the lips, apology uttered in soft hushed tone. grantaire would only smile at him then, his eyes twinkling with delight and ushering him out the door.

there are many random instances too. it’s a pavlovian response to enjolras’ tiny little ticks wherein he gets the irrepressible urge to take the man’s photo. but grantaire’s most favourite moments are captured when enjolras is asleep. when he is still and grantaire has all the luxury to choose his angle and savour the moment without enjolras fussing (because for someone who was born to be in the spotlight, enjolras can get notoriously self-conscious and difficult). grantaire is the only one who truly gets to see enjolras like this. grantaire has to share enjolras with so many things: his causes, his friends, his work and the public. he is a force to be reckoned with and grantaire has accepted long ago that he cannot have the whole of enjolras. but this is the piece of enjolras that grantaire can keep all to himself. this, this is all his and he loves nothing more than to immortalise them in photographs.
